Been thinking about: Oswald Chambers Oswald Chambers is a interesting guy to me. One of his books, My Utmost for His Highest, always grabs me, and I keep going back to it again. God really blessed him, he always goes straight to the point. Reading his book has cleared up a number of the misconceptions I have had about being a Christian. If you like going deep in your devotion time, this author might be for you.

yes indeed, i've always enjoyed that book as well!
you know, something i've learned from experiencing the porch over the past couple years is that we need each other. the body of Christ has so many amazing and beautiful parts that can all function together in a way that is so much better than each of us on our own.
Oswald is one part. so is Kevin. so is Guido. so is Gloria. so are Mary, Bob, Jim, Ralph, Robin, etc.
here's an idea; not necessarily for the porch. just an idea. wouldn't it be cool to create a devotional book full of inspirations and thoughts from the whole assortment of Jesus-followers, and not just one person?
i think something like that would make God smile.
